The Challenge

One of the first challenges we encountered was implementing a dynamic pricing model that allows customers to view three levels of pricing for each service and integrating the price tiers with salons and stylists. 

Another challenge was building real-time location and availability tracking for stylists, particularly in the Map and List views. We needed to develop a robust backend to update stylist availability quickly. This would prevent double bookings and manage customer expectations effectively.

Throughout the development period, we focused significantly on implementing a proper pricing model that could handle various scenarios. Another point of focus was creating a strong backend. The aim was to make it so that it would prevent double bookings and manage customer expectations optimally.

The Solution

We designed the app to enable prospective customers to choose one or a combination of various service pricing levels. The integration of Map and List views allows people to conveniently find salon shops and book a service within their budget. 

To ensure there is no conflict, the app's admin manages the entire process and keeps track of customers and bookings. The app is also integrated with surge alerts, ratings, and customer login and sign-up features. 

The Impact

Mr & Mrs. Saloon is an interactive on-demand app that makes it effortless for users to book professional services from stylists of their choice. It is a highly convenient means to book the services of stylists near you. Moreover, customers can also clearly find out which services are better than others through the reviews and ratings feature. Put simply, the app has made appointment booking a lot more convenient and hassle-free than the traditional way.
